I realized quickly that I could ruin this Easter by being too fixated on it being “perfect". Instead I realized keeping it simple would be the best recipe for a good day.
This didn’t keep me from coordinating our entire family’s outfits or putting together a cute little Easter basket, but that was about all I did. My contribution to Easter dinner was box mix cupcakes and our Easter brunch was the free one at church after the service.
All day Saturday it had rained bucket. But Sunday started out with the most beautiful sunrise followed by a perfect day in the 60s and 70s.
We took our fourth annual front porch Easter photo and Felix munched on the paper grass in his Easter basket. I was glad I didn’t buy anything extra for the basket, I had just stuck in cute things he already had. It worked out well and keeps our house just a little more junk free.
We ended the day driving up north and having a cozy night in our camper, so in my books this simple Easter was perfect.
