Easter 2016

Happy Easter Monday! We’re nice and partied out over here. We spent Friday and Saturday finishing up all the loose ends around our little yellow house. I worked on slip covers for our couches and Dave painted, nailed and handyman-ed his way through all the lingering things we’d been meaning to do for a while, but never quite finished up.

Sunday morning dawned sunny and warm — a surprise since we expected rain. We were happy to see our fridge made it through the night, since we’d had a scare it might die on Saturday night.

Easter church is my favorite. It’s just so joy-filled. I love it more than Christmas church. We had some family join us and that made is extra special

I loved the way my centerpieces came together. Our wedding decor just keeps proving itself so useful — reappears in every season’s decorations. Green, white and wood must just be my colors.

We had 11 people around our table and I loved having a spread that filled out entire main room. I love holidays where everyone fits around one table. There is something so sacred about the shared table. We lingered for 3 hours and savored every dish. It was so good.

As people made their way into the sunshine, a game of corn-hole began and the conversations continued. It was so nice. Worth every hour of prep that it took us and even the resulting sleepiness we started the week with. If you’d like some leftover ham, come on over because that’s all we’ll be eating this week. yum. no complaints.

May your week be productive and filled with springy happiness!
